1. About HLS.IL Connect

HLS.IL Connect is a curated ecosystem platform operated by the HLS.IL initiative. It connects startups, investors, security agencies, industry partners, hubs, and accelerators operating within Israel's homeland security, defense-tech, dual-use, cyber, AI, robotics, critical infrastructure, and resilience innovation ecosystem. The platform facilitates curated introductions reviewed and facilitated by the HLS.IL team. Access to the platform constitutes acceptance of these Terms of Use in full.

2. Eligibility and Account Accuracy

By registering or using HLS.IL Connect, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and completeness of your profile at all times.

Providing false, misleading, incomplete, or fraudulent information may result in account restriction, suspension, permanent removal from the platform, and rejection of any pending or future requests.

3. Use of the Platform

HLS.IL Connect is provided for legitimate ecosystem discovery, professional profile management, curated introduction requests, and community opportunities within the HLS.IL ecosystem. You may use the platform only for lawful, authorized, and professional purposes consistent with these Terms.

Any use of the platform that is inconsistent with its stated purpose, that imposes unreasonable load on platform infrastructure, or that is designed to collect, replicate, or exploit platform data is strictly prohibited.

4. Contact Details and Introductions

Private contact details of individuals and organizations on HLS.IL Connect are not displayed publicly. Introduction requests submitted through the platform are reviewed by the HLS.IL team before any introduction is facilitated.

HLS.IL does not guarantee that any introduction request will be fulfilled. HLS.IL makes no guarantee of investment, commercial opportunity, pilot, procurement, partnership, or any other business outcome resulting from platform use or a facilitated introduction.

5. Strict Prohibition on Scraping, Data Harvesting, Data Theft, and Unauthorized Extraction

HLS.IL Connect is a curated and access-controlled ecosystem platform. The platform, its directory, organization profiles, classifications, taxonomies, tags, descriptions, links, logos, interface, structure, and any related data are made available solely for the intended use of HLS.IL Connect and only in accordance with these Terms.

You are strictly prohibited from accessing, using, collecting, copying, extracting, exporting, downloading, harvesting, scraping, crawling, indexing, monitoring, storing, reproducing, aggregating, republishing, redistributing, transferring, selling, licensing, mirroring, or otherwise exploiting any HLS.IL Connect data or content, whether manually, automatically, directly, indirectly, or through any third party, except where HLS.IL has provided prior written authorization.

This prohibition applies to all data and content on or accessible through the platform, including without limitation:

• organization profiles
• company names
• investor and fund names
• security agency and industry partner profiles
• descriptions, tags, sectors, taxonomies, classifications, and profile metadata
• logos, website links, LinkedIn links, and other external links
• user data, account data, contact details, organization association data, and profile information
• introduction requests, feedback reports, analytics, admin notes, internal review data, or any non-public platform data
• data available through the interface, network requests, APIs, client-side code, exports, or any other technical means

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• use of bots, crawlers, spiders, scrapers, browser automation, headless browsers, scripts, extensions, AI agents, or automated extraction tools
• screen scraping, API scraping, bulk downloading, mass copying, mass exporting, systematic collection, or repeated access designed to collect platform data
• building, training, enriching, validating, or maintaining any external database, lead list, directory, intelligence repository, AI model, commercial product, research dataset, or competing service using HLS.IL Connect data
• bypassing, disabling, avoiding, or attempting to circumvent authentication, authorization, access controls, rate limits, monitoring, technical restrictions, security controls, or other protective measures
• probing, scanning, testing, reverse engineering, attacking, interfering with, or attempting to access admin routes, restricted APIs, databases, private user data, source data, or non-public platform areas
• sharing, disclosing, transferring, publishing, reselling, licensing, or making platform data available to any third party without HLS.IL’s prior written approval

Any unauthorized scraping, harvesting, copying, extraction, data theft, misuse, attempted unauthorized access, or violation of this section may result, to the fullest extent permitted by law, in immediate suspension, permanent blocking, removal from the platform, revocation of access, preservation of logs and evidence, notification to affected parties or authorities where appropriate, and legal action. HLS.IL reserves all rights and remedies, including seeking injunctive relief, damages, recovery of legal costs and fees, and any other remedy available under applicable law.

You acknowledge that unauthorized extraction or misuse of HLS.IL Connect data may cause substantial harm to HLS.IL, its community, listed organizations, users, partners, and the integrity of the ecosystem. You agree that HLS.IL may use technical, contractual, and legal measures to detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to such conduct.

6. No Unauthorized Access or Interference

You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, admin area, API endpoint, database, server, system, or non-public area of HLS.IL Connect. You may not interfere with, disrupt, overload, probe, scan, test, or attack the platform or attempt to bypass any security, authentication, authorization, rate-limiting, monitoring, or access-control mechanism. HLS.IL may restrict, block, suspend, or terminate access where it detects suspicious, abusive, automated, or unauthorized activity.

7. Platform Monitoring and Abuse Prevention

HLS.IL reserves the right to monitor platform activity to protect the integrity of the platform, its users, and its data. This includes tracking page views, organization profile views, search activity, clicks, session duration, request patterns, and other interaction events.

Excessive activity, automated access patterns, unusual data collection behavior, suspicious request volumes, or any indicators of data harvesting may be flagged, rate-limited, throttled, blocked, or investigated. HLS.IL may take action without prior notice when necessary to protect the platform.

8. Intellectual Property and Database Rights

The platform design, content, organization database, structured data, categorization, taxonomy, profile presentation, and associated intellectual property are owned by or licensed to HLS.IL and are protected by applicable intellectual property and database rights law.

No rights are granted to copy, reuse, republish, resell, license, mirror, clone, train machine learning models on, or build competing datasets or platforms using HLS.IL Connect data. Third-party logos displayed on the platform remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.

9. Content and Profiles

HLS.IL may update, remove, edit, approve, reject, or modify organization profiles and platform content at any time without prior notice. Organization data is curated by the HLS.IL team and may not be complete, fully up-to-date, or verified for all fields.

Users may report incorrect information through the designated feedback and report flow on the platform. Profile updates are subject to HLS.IL review and approval.

10. Disclaimers

HLS.IL Connect is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. HLS.IL makes no guarantee regarding the accuracy or completeness of organization data, the continuous availability of the platform, or the outcome of any introduction request, opportunity, or relationship initiated through the platform. Use of the platform is at your own risk.

11. Changes to These Terms

HLS.IL may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Where material changes are made, users will be informed. Continued use of the platform after changes have been published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The current version number and date are shown at the top of this page.
